SC3 2007 Annual Meeting

South Central Citizens Coalition (SC3) holds annual awards presentation and meeting.

The SC3 held it’s annual meeting at the Women’s Club Room on March 9^th.  President Lori Carlson presented the Annual Citizenship Award to Bill Gross, founder of Farm Rescue.   Gross was kind enough to give the group a history of Farm Rescue, from the program’s creation to where it is now, including how it helps the lives of many farmers in need.  Gross also explained how farmers can apply for assistance, and plans for expanding this great program.  For information on volunteering or asking for assistance from Farm Rescue call 1-701-526-0947 or go to www.farmrescue.org.

SC3 President Lori Carlson also presented the outstanding member award to Dale Marks.  Marks is recognized for his volunteer work, his community service and his commitment to furthering the ideals of SC3, which is making our area a better place to work and live. 

Shelly Lund was elected president and the other officers were re-elected to their current positions for another term in the SC3, which is a grassroots organization that meets monthly to discuss and/or act on issues of concern to our members.  Interests may range from local, state or even national issues.  SC3 welcomes new members and meets every 2^nd Thursday of each month.  For info contact Dean at 252-6001 or go to www.ndsc3.org
